Jess Parsons

Jess comes to the Potentia team with 13 years of strategic Human Resource Management experience with majority of her career having been spent partnering with senior leaders on people strategy. She has previously managed large HR teams focused on best practice advisory services, continuous improvement and innovation. She is a passionate community volunteer and has been involved with many non-profit organizations over the years, including having led the Human Resource Committee as a Board Director with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.

Jess obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration through the University of New Brunswick, an Advanced Marketing certificate through France Business School, an Advanced Human Resources Certificate through Queen’s University and a Finance and Accounting Certificate with Columbia Business School. She is a certified coach with the European Mentorship and Coaching Council (EMCC), and a Licensed Practitioner with Insights Discovery. Jess loves continuous learning and will bring that growth mindset approach in the work she does with clients.

When working with Jess, you can expect her to approach situations through a strategic business lens, articulating how people strategy is an integral part of a competitive organization. She leads with a honest and authentic style and has a passion for creating creative, yet practical solutions.

Jess sits in Calgary, Alberta and is the lead for Potentia’s Alberta engagements.
