A current Director of the Board with Ballet Kelowna and previously an active Board Member with the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, Tanja takes pride in being active in the community. In 2016, Tanja received the Grant Thornton Community Service Award for Western Canada. In a letter written to support her nomination for the award, CEO with the KGH Foundation Doug Rankmore writes:
